Hidenori Ishii’s recent work explores the destruction at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant in Japan in 2011. His paintings create a visual dialogue between man’s intention and nature’s inevitabilities. Ishii is a graduate of the Hoffberger School of Painting at the Maryland Institute College of Art and a Joan Mitchell MFA Fellowship Nominee. He has shown in New York and Maryland.
